The Dog House is a private dock house located in the middle of Black Sound on Green Turtle Cay. The Dog House is a cozy 2 bedroom 1 bathroom retreat offering you your own private dock perfect for watching the breathtaking evening sunsets and a lazy day of fishing without leaving your property. The Dog House is located next to Leeward Yacht Club and owned by the same owner so a stay at the Dog House will allow you all of the amenities Leeward Yacht Club has to offer. You can relax in the fresh water heated pool, have a few cocktails at the Lizard Bar & Grill and soon be able to play a game of tennis!
The Dog House is centrally air conditioned and sleeps 4 people comfortably with a queen bed in one bedroom and a bunk bed (twin on top, full on bottom) in the second bedroom. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for 4, living area with satellite TV, a small book library, bathroom with tub/shower combo and small balcony overlooking Black Sound.
Located on the lower level of the Dog House is a small efficiency with a kitchen, bathroom (shower only) and sitting area with sleeper sofa. This can be rented with the upper for an additional fee of $400. Small private patios with table and gas grill allow you the luxury of dining waterfront with no distractions from the outside world. Wireless internet is available through Leeward Yacht Club. There is no phone at this home however if you need to make a call back "home" or anywhere in Abaco you are more than welcome to use the phone at Leeward's marina office.
There is plenty of deep water for your own boat up to 80'(on the face dock) or a rental boat, Reef Rentals and Donnie's Boat Rentals are located just a short distance away. The Dog House is centrally located on the island about 1.5 miles from the historic town of New Plymouth offering several restaurants, bars, gift shops and grocery stores, 5 minutes from the white sand ocean beaches and fantastic snorkeling and 2 miles from Green Turtle Club and its fine dining restaurant. You can absolutely lose yourself in this island paradise and melt all your stress away. If arriving by plane, Treasure Cay airport is the closest airport to fly into and most flights are just one hour from the east coast of Florida. The Green Turtle Ferry (Bolo) will take you from the ferry dock on the mainland of Abaco directly to the Dog House dock.
